Interactive Brokers users: IB has been advertising (to me) their "IB Adaptive Algo". They claim that it can improve both speed and fill price. IB's marketing: "Since you place marketable orders, you may want to try using Urgent Adaptive Algo orders instead, as they have better price improvement on average." "Since you place non marketable orders, you may want to try using Patient Adaptive Algo orders instead, as they attempt to achieve the fastest fill at at the best all-in price." https://www.clientam.com/en/index.php?f=19091 So there is a setting for urgent and patient, depending on what you want to prioritize. I am a bit dubious because in fast moving markets this algo may miss out on entries. Has anyone any experience with this order algorithm?

I funded my IB account over a month ago and i still haven’t gotten an approval. Ive called them at least 20 times and they keep saying it will only be a couple of days.

I recently switched over from LightSpeed to Interactive Brokers so that I could use DAS as well as IB's tiered commission structure. After a few days of trading and monitoring a customer commission/fees breakdown report I requested from IB, I have noticed that they are quite high compared to my previous broker. I'm curious if anyone else is having this experience and if they did anything with routes to help mitigate those expensive executions. Below are some of my my setup details in DAS along with execution fee samples: Entries: Using Kyle's hotkeys for entry which uses ROUTE=LIMIT (I'm assuming this uses SMARTL from the montage) Profit Target Orders: Either manually enter order on montage, selecting ROUTE=SMRTL or using separate hotkeys that have ROUTE=LIMIT IB Report for AMD trade: Screen Cap for same trade showing routes as all SMRT I'm still waiting for a response from IB about this but wanted to see if anyone else here had similar experiences and/or insights.
