Hey guys, I'm starting this thread to learn a bit more from people that have experience (or knowledge) about trading US stocks from the UK via a limited company. Obviously, anyone visiting this thread should get advice from an accountant before actioning anything that they have learnt on here. This thread is just a place to share knowledge and experience. I have very little knowledge about tax, and would like to hear some of your views. My broker is CMEG (Trinidad and Tobago), and I trade the US stock market. Is there anything that I should be aware of if I plan to trade using this setup via a limited liability company? Will I have to pay US tax? Will I have to pay T&T tax? Are there extra forms that I have to fill out for HMRC because of this setup? Is it even financially advantageous to trade using this setup? Or is it better to just trade as an individual? I will be asking my accountant over the next few days so will post anything that I learn. Thanks in advance!

Hey MattfromNZ! I'm still learning. That being said, My watchlist is focussed on both small/low floats with (blah, blah, blah) and known stocks with well known Range-Of-Day price action (of course with setups, news, etc). It is both for the quick and fast (scalping) and long haul stocks (those stocks I don't mind holding for the next 3 months or more). If I am going to hold a stock once I leave my home office, it can only be a stock I am comfortable with as an investment stock. Otherwise, I take a loss and leave for work ready to focus on my work. Strategy wise, I focus on levels, and chart pattern for confirmation of entries. BUT, I am not the one to ask about proven strategies and whatnot. There are others far better at this than me. This is just my decided approach to learning, trading, etc. Scanner wise, I use the gappers list from other sites as I get up to start trading at 7:30EST. If there is nothing there, I have some faithful stocks that consistently move during the day.

Just as a general suggestion for those posting scripts in this thread, I recommend posting a link to the original thread you got your hotkey from ... a lot of these hotkeys have special instructions and won't work for all users (especially the ones I create, which are mainly Firm dependent). It'll save a lot of new users some headache trying to figure out a problem that may have already been answered. Plus, you're more likely to get help with a hotkey if you post the question in the related threads to them.

This should help all of us understand how to fully utilize the Panic Hotkey Script = PANIC Description = This will close all positions in your entire account, including Real and Simulator accounts Script = PANIC ACCOUNT=myaccount Description = This will close all positions in only the specific account
