Great Job Nas, $IGC is an fantastic trade and execution.Very well defined pattern. Great entry and exit scaling out. A + trade *Tip: IGC offered a similar setup close to the open around 9:35 with volume confirming the 1 minute candle to make NH, but you were trading CLDC I believe. Nonetheless, great job! $CLDC great use of PM highs, break of whole dollar and volume. *Tip: In such a strong mover and with a good entry scaling 3/4 of the position on the first target can be a good idea, you realize 3/4 and use the "rest" as a decoy, to see where is going next; either to generate extra profit, give you a better average for a second move or since is an "extra" get out at BE, this idea is for maybe a bigger account and less comm. With commission and ECNS piling up realizing profit in one lot seems to be the right decision. Great job, keep up the good work my friend. Best, Fernando.

Hi Nassar, nice work on trades today! I use CMEG as well and yes the new ECN fees make it tough if you are trading that share size 😞 so I tend to stick to stocks over $15 at the very least. The low commission with CMEG allows me to develop proper scaling out discipline vs SureTrader where we are banged 5 bux per trade. Question, do you look at your week-over-week performance or the month as a whole? I prefer week-over-week myself. And are you using TraderVue to get those stats?

@George C My two cents: taking first partial after 10 cents is too soon. I try to take first partial after 1:1 risk/reward or 0.20-0.30 (depends on ATR and stock price). If the trade goes in my direction but fails to reach that, I then bail out of the trade at break-even or tiny profit.

Hey George, I was in your shoes not too long ago...actually worse shoes because I often let the trade run against me until it came back so I could get out. Worked 95% until it doesn't and your loss cripples your account. Anyway you should at least look for 1:1 R/R 2:1 is optimal. I don't so much have a fixed $$ or cent risk per trade but a max loss of 1% of my acct per trade. Say $50 risk out of a 5k acct. That 1% potential loss determines my share size I can take. Carlos is right about working on entries, you can so easily be stopped out on a great setup but your entry is just off, especially in an ABCD pattern, be patient and try to get a solid entry on a pullback so you wont stop out as often. If you miss the pullback, let the trade go. Catch the next one. Pass up other setups that just don't have the reward. Take 2-3 trades but fish for the best setup you can. If it helps post your trades in the chat and some of us can give feedback. Try that and see how you do after a week.

I'm going! I live in Long Beach and was planning on heading back right after but I'd be up for dinner if Andrew and others are down too.
