    • Good day, My name is Vince. Im in San Diego, California. My background is a bachelors in Finance, and my day job is an accountant (corporate accounting, though now unemployed) My first run in with stocks is 6th grade, which the teacher had the class paper trade as a class activity for a monthish using historical "books" ie printed (note this is pre2000).  Afterwards my parents bought stocks in various success rates, back then when you have to call the broker to make trades, and a trade can cost like 25-50 dollars to make an order. As time went on, those broker costs went down, and I always wondered cant you just scalp for a quick in and out and make a profit? But that is when I was in college when I was between the ages of 18-24ish. Now after college, I started to work in accounting, and many broker costs is zero or close to zero as time went on. I did try to do trade via my parents account and my own account around last year. Which I blew up my account and what I suggested to buy in my parents being I was too busy with work to really manage the account and I have no idea what is market stop order either and I also didnt really control my parents account. I did research on what books to buy and bought Andrews book last year, fall of 2024. But still had no time to really read it till spring of 2025, which confirms my original idea and Andrews trial and error of techniqnes and methods to do it. Due to my workplace not giving me any time to really relax with 12 hr or more workdays (salary) and tended to also work during weekends during crunch time (month end), I ended up quitting it just to not drown in an unhealthy lifestyle with work ~2.5 weeks ago.  While I was in the middle of rereading the Andrews frist book and taking notes, which then planned to read andrews second book, but I decided to just join BBT just as a change of pace being I wasnt in a book mood after quitting my job. I joined in at entry level, and binged viewed all the videos all I can for a week (though given my finance education and some market knowledge background I could have skipped 1/2 of it, and many terms was familiar to me so i didnt need to really pause and in some areas I did skip ahead). After a week, I just upgraded to Diamond (elite + simulator) last week friday and here I am.  My parents offered me their 20-25k stock account but not really ready to touch it, that and I have the simulator untouched. And I want to read andrews second book sometime in a week or two, and then being im currently unemployed being I quit ~2.5ish weeks ago. Ill likely go seeking a job after I take all the classes i can at BBT and read all the important books I can so I dont get side tracked mentally & physically in learning to day trade.  Anyways nice to meet you all.
    • Hi All I'm having some issues with my DAS scripts. I have two scripts which given a current position and stop loss, sells/covers 50% of my position and sets a new stop loss. However there are times when the script will sell//]cover my position, but sometimes fail to set a new stop loss. This doesn't happen during replay mode, but will occasionally happen when I trade live using the simulated account. Can someone tell me how to prevent this from happening? The scripts are detailed below. Thanks     Sell Percentage and move to Break Even CXL ALLSYMB;ROUTE=LIMIT;Price=BID-0.05;Price=Round2;Share=Pos*.5;TIF=DAY+;SELL=Send;ROUTE=STOP;StopType=Market;StopPrice=AvgCost;Share=Pos;TIF=GTC;SELL=SEND Cover Percentage and move to Break Even CXL ALLSYMB;ROUTE=LIMIT;Price=ASK+0.05;Price=Round2;Share=Pos*.5;TIF=DAY+;BUY=Send;ROUTE=STOP;StopType=Market;StopPrice=AvgCost;Share=Pos;TIF=GTC;BUY=SEND
