Are there any plans for a “Going Live” workshop with Interactive Brokers / CMEG? Covering some items like: What to expect when transitioning to a live account DAS Platform changes to make Hotkey routing changes, etc. Notes on commissions and account types (Cash vs. Margin, Tiered vs. Fixed) Anything else relevant to what a new trader might need to know. I know there is already a video on commissions, but I was thinking of a more comprehensive video on the changes when switching over to a live account with IBKR/CMEG Maybe a Checklist of changes or summary to bring it all together for members transitioning to a live account from the SIM.

07.Nov.19 +4r. Today, I traded only $QCOM. Watchlist: $QCOM, $BIDU, $SQ, $ROKU. I liked $QCOM very much esp it being close to ATH. Trade 1: $QCOM. Premarket trade. I took it at the open, as the Earnings was strong for $QCOM and looked very positive. Got a partial and left the rest to exit after the close. AT the open, $QCOM stopped me to the penny before going strong. Trade2: $QCOM. I took long again after price bounced off premarket low. Share size was huge (by mistake) and resulted in 3 times my regular risk size, so I got out quickly near VWAP. This is my trade of the day, because I got out immediately after realizing I was in it more than my risk. Trade3: $QCOM. 89.9 was premarket high. once the stock bounced off this level, took it long and got out at $91. I am happy with the trade. Trade 4: $QCOM. Mid day, took reversal on $QCOM at $90 price level. After struggle for 15 mins, price popped on the upside and got me 2r. Price actually touched my stop, but din't fill me. This time, I was lucky. Good: Just focused on one stock from Premarket to close, it helped. Good trade management. Improvement: Sometimes I keep very small stoploss for e.g $QCOM trade at the open (last trade). I get stopped out and then the stocks move much high, trending. Missed opportunities. Overall I am happy with the trading today. Luck ditched me at the open, but I got it back on the reversal trade. P.S: $BIDU looks much better than other 3 for followup trading tomorrow.

7/11/19 amazing day today, after yesterday i decided to approach it a little differently. basically just looking at the level 2 to see which direction is stronger then using the charts to find a good entry. worked a treat. Trade 1: looked weak on L2, popped up to VWAP then down so took it short tight stop, got a few partials at 2:1 then out at b/e. 0.5 Rs Trade 2: this was a 1m ABCD as soon as it made a new high after a new low and L2 looking very strong. still some left in this position but right now at 3Rs. Trade 3: BIDU looked very strong on L2. good opening 5 min candle, rejected VWAP once then when it rejected a second time i got in long with a tight stop. got one partial, almost out at b/e then it just took off and i partialled like crazy. 4Rs Trade 4: couldnt believe my luck on this, i was done for the day but noticed the punch through VWAP, pullback to the MAs on the 5m, checked L2 and looked really strong so took it long with stop at VWAP and it exploded. happy days. 5Rs

@JD OK Good. Parking can be a beast there. Just wanted to make sure we knew ahead of time where and how much, or if the restaurant could provide enough. So excited. Can't wait to meet you and the rest of BBT. See you soon.

@Steph The restaurant has parking at the back and there's additional parking in the public parking garage down the street. They also said that they have enough parking and valet parking.

06.Nov.19. BE. Took only one trade today on $CVS. Just when it was going my way, China news came and SPY dumped, so I got out voluntarily. Watchlist: $CVS, $UBER, $MTCH Trade 1: $CVS. gapped up on good news. Opened strong too. I noticed it bounced off VWAP and trying to break the level 70.56 multiple times, Took it long once it broke the level, it put up 2 strong green candles. Then the news about China came and SPY dumped. Fearing $CVS would dump too, I got out. Sure enough, I would have got stoped out. so a BE trade.

I got an electric base from monoprice.com for about $100 on sale, and got a white top at Home Depot for about $25. I love it and recommend it for anyone on a budget.

Hi Guys, I wanted to share a hotkey command / script I got from @Robert H that I find very useful. Let me tell you a short story about my frustrations in covering a position. There were times that I'm in a stock just right at the open and it shoots super fast and in favor of my direction. Ofcourse your initial reaction is in shock for few milliseconds. And Instead of covering my LONG/SHORT position, I always end up adding half or full at your target. Imagine how stressful that was! So I've always been curious if there's a magic hotkey to cover either a LONG or SHORT position without worrying which side you are in. And believe or not, @Robert H has the answer! Not sure if some of the guys in our BBT forum has this command already but Let me share it anyways and see if we can tweak it for our favor. ROUTE=SMRTM;Share=Pos*0.5;TIF=DAY+;SEND=REVERSE (for half position Long/Short) ROUTE=SMRTM;Share=Pos;TIF=DAY+;SEND=REVERSE (for full position Long/Short) The only issue I think with this I guess is, it's set as Market order. Meaning, you can get filled at any price (blank cheque) and this is bad if you are trading non liquid stocks or stocks that has huge spreads. This is probably only suitable for smaller trade sizes or with liquid stocks that has tight spreads. If someone has an idea to convert this into a LIMIT order to Hit the Ask when you're LONG and Hit the Bid when you're SHORT that would be great! Hope you find this hotkey useful somehow. Cheers, Ryan (ryan_pdt)

Hi, Here's another hotkey command for STOP Market at avgcost or at breakeven whether you are Long or Short. ROUTE=STOP;StopType=Market;Share=Pos;StopPrice=AvgCost+0.00;TIF=DAY+;SEND=REVERSE Thanks, Ryan
