  7.  Direct Questions
    • What did I do well?
      • Stopped trading before 8 a.m. even without hitting the goal amount.
      • I acknowledged that I was trading poorly and mitigated by drawing my speculations on screen instead of trading.
    • What could I have done better?
      • Kept my stop in MU and traded the more directional / active symbols.
    • Is the performance pressure I feel increasing or decreasing?
      • Increasing before today, decreasing slightly with today.
    • Is the current way I am trading going to lead to long term success?
      • Yes, I believe that the on screen speculating, minimal drawdowns, and high reward potential trades will allow me to be successful over time.

  6.  Direct Questions
    • What did I do well?
      • I kept my stops in place and worked the trade's cash flow to move my stop distance up.
    • What could I have done better?
      • I could have placed my stops above a technical level until the official range break occurs and then add.  I was stopped out too many times when I could have sized up after the retest.
    • Is the performance pressure I feel increasing or decreasing?
      • The pressure is staying steady, but I did not feel well about the extreme size at the open.  For the record, I could have held out of ridiculousness and made over 2k.  Just saying.
    • Is the current way I am trading going to lead to long term success?
      • Yes, with the pen usage my discretion is high enough to lead to success long term.  However I need to rein in my entries that don't use stops as a technical level.  Those are really only meant for when the tape confirms a flag break or my average cost is high enough to risk the 'house money'.

    • Living with parents / last 2 weeks of school / paying off debt
  6.  Direct Questions
    • What did I do well?
      • In the morning I waited for an opportunity (for an ORB) rather than chasing the extended moves premarket.
    • What could I have done better?
      • I took several trades that were impulsive after I experienced the three losses from NCLH.
      • My final trade was extremely impulsive, especially in regards to stop loss placement on BA.
        • Look for stocks that are trending or rangebound, wait for the HH/HL and then enter.
    • Is the performance pressure I feel increasing or decreasing?
      • The pressure is moderately increasing because I am going to take this account live tomorrow if Interactive Brokers connects correctly with DAS.
        • The IB broker had issues for the first time apparently since Andrew of Brian have started using them, the day before I go live.
    • Is the current way I am trading going to lead to long term success?
      • Not so much.  With the impulsive trades and drawdowns past my stops, it is very possible for my luck to turn against me.
      • I am catching trades late, so I am placing my stops closer.
        • My protection against that is the willingness to get out of my positions 100% at any turn of the move, but focusing on the bigger move is my strength.
        • My worst days are when trending stocks are pulling back at the open.

Account Went Live Today

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Everything went wrong!

I started the day with an account balance of $25,150.

During the open I was positive, but I didn't get filled on my ORB short on TSLA.

My nerves got the better of me and I exited early for profit on a long on TSLA directly after that.

Apparently if your account balance ever goes below $25,000 during the trading day, then you are prevented from trading if your buys and sells goes over the PDT 3 trade rule.

I've never experience a mid-day restriction with a broker, and unfortunately this restriction made it where I missed out on a solid 6R+ trade on SFIX.

My psychology was shot because broker issues have been the bane of my existence ever since starting trading.

Anyways, don't have an account with less than your daily max loss as a buffer when you start out with Interactive Brokers.

They restricted my account while I was in a profitable position as well, so when I tried to sell for profit, I actually had to go to interactive broker's website (outside of DAS) and I had to close it manually there.  Very nerve wracking.  I don't know why it stopped me from trading when I was already in a position, very frustrating and strange.

That is why I couldn't upload my stats to TraderVue because my P&L on DAS isn't actually the real amount.

Either way, I literally had to wire money to bring my account back over the PDT amount, and then I bought at the top of the range on SFIX, waited literally two hours to make 40 bucks, and then called it a day.  Definitely one of my worst trading experiences.

Nothing like when I lost $15k in one day though lol.

Well here is to tomorrow working out correctly, my account is now loaded with $25,250 (My max loss is 250).

If I could buffer the account with more money I would, but I can't.

I am going to roll the dice of being profitable tomorrow (odds are in my favor from TraderVue stats).

I am definitely nervous, but I have been doing this long enough where if I just do what I have been doing, it should work itself out.

Wish me luck!

  6.  Direct Questions
    • What did I do well?
      • I didn't completely exit everything at the pop of PLTR or NIO.
        • I also got enough cash flow to where I could survive the initial drawdown on PLTR. (Every trade counts)
    • What could I have done better?
      • I took all of my profit on PLTR and NIO once I hit goal amount, I could have waited for a new 1 minute high at the very least.
        • After this issues yesterday I just wanted to lock in a green day and close the platform.
    • Is the performance pressure I feel increasing or decreasing?
      • It is currently gradually decreasing.  Yesterday was a nightmare, but fortunately I was able to bring this positive day in.
        • I haven't traded my best, but I will just let things shake out over the next couple of days.
    • Is the current way I am trading going to lead to long term success?
      • Yes.  As long as I continue to abide by my stop losses and add onto my winning positions, my winners should overpower my losers.
        • Psychologically I couldn't afford losing today, so hopefully as that pressure eases off I take smaller partials when I have gains on the account naturally.

Lost everything between myself and $25,000, looks like I have to go to sim again.  Today was extremely frustrating.  For the second day in a row DAS made my buying power $9,000 (Instead of $100,000!!!) right before taking an easy 5R trade.  They gave me the buying power for a losing trade though!  Amazing!

I’m disgusted by interactive brokers similar issues with rejecting my orders.

I would try to buy 98 shares on TSLA and I would get my order rejected, even though I should be able to take 162 shares.

I can’t stress enough that I have been consistently profitable for months.  I always have problems with the broker and platform when I go live.

I added my buying power to the account window so I can babysit DAS and make sure they update my buying power from one trade to the next.  Honestly.  What world do we live in where we have to literally call DAS to have them update our buying power midday, two days in a row?

Took a day off.
Still not feeling too good about my orders getting rejected only to leave me with a losing day yesterday.

I want to clear my head from that disaster.  There always is one when I go live lol.

Trading Journal:

Woke up late, I thought today was Sunday.

I placed two trades.

One loser and one winner.

-$15 P&L on the day.

Going to get back at it tomorrow.
