Nice recap @Christopher Patterson. You have told you are in SIM,  did you open an  IBKR account or CMEG to get access SIM? i am planning to get the SIM access but still not convinced the DAS SIM access in terms of  monetary view? Did you try any other platform apart from DAS?

What up Ranajit! I did the 300$ 3 month in SIM through BBT deal three times, I'm currently in the process of opening an IB account and so I'm subscribed to a monthly DAS subscription at $150 / month. I think i did Think Or Swim for a few days just to check it out a long time ago, but after reading Andrew's book I have always stuck to DAS. I think @OTC has a lot of experience with ToS, he'd be a good person to talk to. 

I don't think there is anything wrong with learning all the fundamentals in ToS, then when you feel like you're a few months out from going live get the 300$ SIM package from BBT. You'll want to work with an interface for a while before using it for live trading.

@OTC can you share how did you learn the fundamentals using TOS and any learning materials you got? I need to prepare myself before i am looking to go for LIVE and i can't afford DAS for initial months. Thanks in advance,

Hi Ranajit,

Lots of youtube videos (Rayner Teo - if you are super noob), SMB capital more advanced, BBT channel a mixture of both, ASK everyone a lot of Qs, don't be shy. Read The Disciplined Trader, Anna Couling's 'A Complete Guide...", Watch Mark Douglas videosm 4 part series on Trading psychology. Check out my day trading journal forum, just type OTC's Day Trading Journal in search. Watch Chris' videos ( assuming you are since you are here). Carmine Rosato youtube channel (more advanced). Watch ZipTrader youtube for more basics. My youtube channel OTC's Trade Recaps but saem vids as my journal. Read Andrew's book. 

 

Hope that gets you started, plan to be in SIM at least 3 months but 'they' say it takes 1-2 years to know if day trading is for you or not.......
