How to Change Your Equity and Buying Power in Simulator

This feature was recently added in version 5.2.0.14 (check your version by going to Help> About).

 

In the Account window, right-click the account and select Reset BP/Equity.

Account

 

Update your Equity, Daily BP, and Over Night BP.

Hi Robert! Thanks for sharing. However, I tried to reset several times but it didn't reset as beginning.

Viet, which version of DAS are you on? This feature was only added in 5.2.0.15.

 

To check your version, go to Help > About

To update, go to Tools > Auto Upgrade

When I try doing this, I go to my account report, right click "Account" and nothing happens. Also, that part of my screen is greyed out, showing that it cannot be edited. Any ideas on what to do?

You need to right-click from the Account window, not Account Report window (Trade > Accounts).

Probably hidden behind other windows. Go to menu Windows > Accounts. It might be listed in Other Windows.

If not, go to File > Clear Desktop and see if you can open a new Accounts window.

Thanks so much for the effort Robert.

Is it possible to set simulator stop accepting new buy/sell when it is over the buying power?

I always buy/sell too much and over my real BP.

Thank you for the help, Robert.

In video-lesson 1, Andrew mentions we can set up the simulator to stop resetting the amounts. Could anyone help me find where I can choose that option? I would like to simulate the situation I will have when I go live, i.e., keeping my balance as days go by, instead of starting with a new balance every morning.

I am using DAS Sim Version 5.2.0.31  But I  cannot reset the equity.  I am right clicking the Account as you recommended below.

Which window are you clicking? It has t o be the Account window per the screenshot above.
