Hello everyone! My name is Roosevelt and I live in Henderson, Nevada. I am an Educator for more that 20 years but decided to take a different route and now on the process of changing career. I dabbled into trading last year after reading Andrew's 2 books including Brian's but I stopped because my schedule at work interfered with my time of trading. I signed up for membership last year  upon learning so much from BBT through youtube. Two months ago, I went back trading  but I am not progressing and obviously I am not ready. So i decided to be part of the community to learn more and connect with like minded people.

Very happy to have you with us in the community, Roosevelt. Please feel free to ask questions of us! Good luck on your trading journey!

    Hi,

I'm David - project manager in an IT company in Quebec City, Canada. I trade a few hours a week ince one month, but more as a gambler than a trader (lucky for now). I want to learn how to be a successful day trader but as I am now a father of a 5 month old baby, I am struggling to find as much time as I would like. My goal would be to become a full-time day trader in a year or two

    Hunting, fishing and hiking enthusiast!

Welcome, David. Take your time getting into trading. Fit it into your life as you can. There is no rush. In fact, slow is often better. Enjoy your young family and build for the future as time allows. What matters is focus, not time. Glad to have you with us at BBT.

    Hi all,

I'm Martin and I'm a Finance Manager (Management Accountant), originally from Scotland but now living in Melbourne, Australia. I've started trading commodity CFD's through covid which has sparked my interest in expanding my knowledge and taking it more seriously. I plan on trading the European markets/US market opening in the Australian evening whilst being able to continue to work due to the time difference.

Just finished reading Andrew's books and decided to give the community a shot to accelerate my learning. Looking forward to learning off all the experienced traders here and going on a steep learning curve.

Martin, welcome to BBT! I was just talking about Melbourne last night with my wife. We were both saying how much we'd like to return (we lived on Roslyn St in Brighton from 2007-2010) and see our friends again. Love Melbourne.

Good luck in your trading and don;t be afraid to reach out if we can assist you in your trading journey in any way.

    Peter

    Hi BBT,

My name is Luis Servin (Luis in chatroom), I grew up in Boerne, TX (pronounced Burn-E) which is in the hill country northwest of San Antonio, TX.

I am a former O&G engineer. This job has taken me to several U.S. cities as well as some foreign assignments. However, during the recent downturn (oil price war paired with COVID-19) I decided I'd had enough corporate world for one life. I have owned two businesses throughout my life, one of which was successful enough to sell - the point is that I prefer to work for myself.

I have been swing trading and long term trading for ~10 years and now its time to try my hand at day trading. I am excited to take on this new career. I did some extensive research and found BBT to be the most professional and well-rounded group/community so I became a LT member approximately 1 month ago. It has been a smooth and enjoyable transition for many reasons, the hospitality extended by all the members and the moderators has been awesome and welcoming, thank you all!

I am currently building a PC with 6 monitor set up in a new house that my life partner Marta and I are building near Boerne, TX - life has brought me back full circle to where I grew up. I mention the new PC+trading set-up because I gave this new career a lot of thought before investing the money to be a PDT.

Lastly, I am extremely excited and diligent to learn from everyone willing to share their trading experiences. I am looking forward to meeting up with other traders and being part of this awesome trading community.

    Best Regards,

    Luis M. Servin

    Luis, welcome to BBT!

    Hey BBT Community,

My name is Jad from Vancouver and I am a new to day trading . I am a 36yrs technology professional and entrepreneur. The approach of Andrew resonated a lot with me, so I decided to join the community to learn and eventually contribute. I am currently on simulator and working on fine-tuning my setup and building my knowledge. This is above all a personal challenge for me as I have experienced the psychology behind it and the skills it requires. I look forward to engaging with you and meet up soon!

    Hi BBT Family!

My name is Marcus and am from Indiana. I've worked for an EPC contractor for the past 10 years running around building wind farms. In the past two years I got off the road and settled down with my family and moved into the estimating department of our company.

I love trading and have been swing trading for two years with a moderate amount of success. After reading Andrew's book and searching online it became very clear that if I wanted to be a successful day trader that this is the only place to be. In only two weeks now as a lifetime member, it has only become more clear to me that this is where I need to be. Joining BBT is the best decision I've ever made as it pertains to trading and feel very blessed to be a part of what you all have built here. The amount of generosity that I have witnessed far exceeds all expectations that I had coming in (which were actually pretty high), and just want to thank you all for being so welcoming and generous with you time. That's extremely hard to find these days!

This is awesome to hear. Happy to have you as part of the community!

    Hi everyone,

My name is Mohamed, I am from Abu Dhabi, UAE. I learned about BBT when I read Andrew's book. I have built a good knowledge on stocks in general during the past few years. However, I struggle to make profits since I get emotional in my trades. I am just starting my learning curve with BBT and I am sure I will develop my skills and be ready for day trading in few months.

I hope everyone is safe and in good health and I wish I can meet you guys soon and get to know each other.

Welcome to BearBullTraders! Look forward to seeing you in the chatroom!

    Hey all!
My name is Blake and I'm from New Jersey.  During this time of quarantine I have spent majority of my time trying to increase my financial IQ, which is how I stumbled upon day trading.  I have read the books and have spent time studying the market on my own to see if I think day trading could possibly be for me.  Signing up for BBT and trading in sim is now the next step in my journey.  I look forward to being apart of this community, as well as learning and sharing with all of you.

    Enjoy the weekend!

    Welcome to the community, Blake!

Hi all! My name is Sam, but everyone calls me by my middle name Logan. I just joined the group after I retired from the Air Force. I live outside DC in Maryland. I've invested and traded for year but this is my first time day trading. I listened to a lot of audio books during my daily 2 hour commute when I was working and came across Andrew's book. I was hooked after that.

Logan, welcome. If you trade in the afternoon, hopefully you'll join Mike and myself in the chatroom. Mike is a recently retired marine (don't hold that against him). Look forward to hearing from you!

    Hey Everyone,

My name is Michael Morgan, I'm 26 and live in New Castle, Pennsylvania. I'm an afternoon/nightshift supervisor at Steelite International. For the past year I have been looking for a second source of income and trading was something that I became interested in. I have no experience trading but after reading a couple books on the subject and then reading both of Andrews books, I feel this is definitely something I would like to pursue. My long term goal is to become a successful trader and maybe one day this could become my permanent job.

I am looking forward to meeting everyone and learning some new things.

    Cheers,

    Mike M.

Mike, trading is a long term game so don't rush into anything and don't put pressure on yourself to achieve quickly. Build your skills and experience and hopefully one day you can replace that job...but not until you are consistently making more than the job trading!!

    Hi everyone!

My name is Cindy. I'm 25 years old and from San Francisco. I'm new to trading as I just started learning in April. I'm currently working as a full-time pharmacist. I realized that my student debt would take way too long to pay off for the life I want to live. I found out about trading and felt that it would be a good path to head down with the eventual goal of working less hours and having more freedom in life.

I was learning from a different community but didn't like the vibe and didn't feel like the members were very supportive of each other. I was also searching for more information to learn when I found Andrew's book and BBT. I decided to try BBT's 1 week trial last week and was blown away by the professionalism and level of support members had for each other in this group. I felt like I learned so much more in 1 week with through this platform than I did in the entire month of April so I HAD to join.

I'm so excited to keep learning and growing with everyone! 😁

    Cindy

Cindy, I hope to see you in the chatroom. Say hi and good luck on your trading journey!

  15. From this I can't be sure what the issue might be. Do you keep your Orders window open? Next time you do this, keep a close eye on it of the orders as they are sitting waiting to be executed (and take a screenshot of the pending trades). That should give you a clue as to what is going to happen. DAS should only execute as per the commands in the Orders window.

  16. Steph, how did you enter these orders? Did you use function keys (hotkeys), the Montage buttons or just through the Montage directly? Also, when you set your stop, what type of stop did you use? (limit, range, market, etc) Depending on the answer I might need more info. Plus, if you did use anything with a script (the first 2 options) can you post the script. Thanks.
